Irish descent. The first is contradicted by two separate census data
for Patrick, but the second is consistent with other information. It also
indicates that P. lived in KY for some time and was a War of 1812 veteran,
both of which are confirmed by other records.

Patrick BUCKNER's pension record says he was living with his grandson.
Census records showed him living with John KIMBLER. His wife was Lucinda
J. BUCKNER, dau. of George and Millie (PRUITT) BUCKNER. Therefore I
conclude that George was Patrick's son, as suggested by Carter Co. records.
I also suspect George died around 1844 since he ceases to appear in Carter
Co. tax records after 1843.

Note: This sheet earlier identified Elizabeth A. SMITH as Henry's mother.
It has now been determined that Elizabeth GILLUM was probably the mother
of all of the children above and that Elizabeth A. SMITH was in fact the
wife of a Patrick H. BUCKNER, b.c. 1806 in VA, who was
not the same person as the somewhat older Patrick BUCKNER treated here.
